At All About Imports, we are environmentally-conscious and use practices that help reduce our impact on the environment. We employ current recycling methods and look to educate ourselves as well as our customers about how we can all positively contribute to our environment.
Here are the some of the programs we participate in:
Waste Management is not only a waste company, but also North America’s largest recycler, saving 41 million trees annually in paper alone. Additionally, Waste Management is converting landfill gas and waste into enough electricity to power more than 1 million homes and saving the equivalent of 14 million barrels of oil each year or 3.6 million tons of coal.
Ontario Tire Stewardship Program
Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) is an Industry Funding Organization (IFO) incorporated under Ontario’s Waste Diversion Act, to implement and operate the Used Tires Program. This province-wide scrap tire solution for On-road and Off-road tires supplied into the Ontario market, will divert scrap tires away from burning and landfilling to 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) processing and uses. Launched on September 1, 2009, the program will eliminate the “disposal fee” that consumers currently pay to get rid of their old tires – whether or not they are buying new ones — making it easy and free for Ontarians to get their old tires recycled by dropping them off at registered Collectors across Ontario.
Safety-Kleen Waste Management
Safety-Kleen enables companies to fulfill their green initiatives. Safety-Kleen pushes beyond recycled thinking to break new ground and create an environment that’s good for business and the planet.
You will also notice that we recycle as much packaging material as possible, as well as drink cans, newspapers, magazines and plastics, where possible thus diverting waste from ending up in landfills.
We also turn off lights in areas when not in use and use environmentally friendly cleaning products. It’s our way of lessening our impact on the environment and helping our community.
