History

Honda Motor Company humble beginning started in 1946 and has become a Japanese public multinational corporation, well known for its automobiles and motorcycles. Since 1959, Honda has distinguished title of being the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer. It also holds the title of the world’s largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year. More recently, Honda became the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer in 2001 and now the eighth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. It is also responsible for the Acura brand.

Honda has also five of United States Environmental Protection Agency’s top ten most fuel-efficient cars from 1984 to 2010 comes from Honda, more than any other automaker in the world.
